Job Description

JLL is seeking a Lead Boiler Operator to operate, maintain and repair Boilers, auxiliary equipment, Controls & FMS Systems located in the interior and exterior of building. The position regularly conducts routine and on-going assessment of the Utility Plant systems operations, performs tests, inspections and analyzes data to assure the proper functioning of site equipment. Responsibilities include leading assigned shift team, delegating duties during emergent events, serving as point of contact during afterhours for emergency service requests, overseeing and monitoring site Utility plant systems, maintaining and repairing systems including boilers, water testing, heat exchangers, RO & soft water systems, chilled water systems, hot water heaters, pumps, valves, motors, air compressors, bearings, seals, filters and all associated equipment. The role involves analyzing system operations, determining root causes of failures, performing preventive maintenance, maintaining tools and inventory, documenting repairs, communicating with Operations Manager and Lead Engineer, complying with safety policies, maintaining a clean workspace, and interacting with clients. The work schedule is Sunday-Wednesday 8am-6:30am with possible overtime or flex scheduling. Required skills include a high school diploma or equivalent, CEU eligible Boiler Operations Training Course or 2 years hands-on experience, minimum 3 years experience in building operation, maintenance and repair or equivalent, proficiency with Microsoft Office, Facility Management & Building Automation systems and CMMS, ability to interpret schematics and blueprints, good interpersonal and communication skills, and physical ability to perform inspections and emergency procedures. Preferred qualifications include two years related trade schooling or college, C4 Boiler Certification, and 6+ years relevant experience.
