Position Overview: As a Family Dollar Store Ambassador, you will provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, assisting with their shopping needs, and protecting store assets through observation of customers and Store Associates under the Store Manager's direction. This role is designed for select complex stores. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: Greet and assist customers in a positive, approachable manner, maintaining a strong company image within the community. Maintain a highly visible presence in the store to enhance customer service and asset protection. Assist the Store Manager in maintaining safety and control standards, including tagging merchandise, assisting with vendor check-ins, and reporting observations. Report suspicious activity, document transactions and incidents, and monitor security systems. Conduct inspections, audits, and resolve concerns in partnership with the store manager. Complete associate bag checks and provide feedback to management. Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Position Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; ability to interpret policies and manuals. Ability to travel locally; valid Driver’s License required. Experience working with the public preferred; retail, hospitality, or grocery experience desirable. Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, and up to 55 lbs occasionally, with frequent walking, standing, and other physical activities. Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Skills: Customer focus, organizational skills, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
