Position Title: Archivist-Historian 2 (P01)

Location: Auburn, WA

Schedule: 1st Shift | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (100% Onsite)

Position Overview:

Client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Reference Archivist to join our Historical Services and Archive Team. This role plays a vital part in preserving legacy and supporting historical research across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reference & Research Support: Respond to internal and external inquiries using standard research methods and archival resources to ensure historical accuracy.
• Inbox Management: Monitor and manage the research group inbox to ensure timely and accurate responses.
• Archival Organization: Arrange and maintain collections of artifacts, films, digital records, photographs, and negatives in accordance with archival policies.
• Cataloging & Metadata: Accurately describe and tag archival materials in the database for efficient retrieval.
• Information Governance: Act as the focal point for information retention, ensuring compliance with corporate historical policies.
• Content Contribution: Assist in writing articles and documentation that highlight Client heritage and milestones.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in History, Archival Studies, Library Science, or a related field (Advanced degree preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in archival research, preservation, and cataloging.
• Proficiency with Content Management Systems (CMS) and Digital Asset Management Systems (DAM).
• Strong written communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Experience collaborating in large, matrixed organizations is a plus.
